Sleep apnea (or sleep apnoea) has not alarmed health official, the media, the public nor even the physician community because it is not infectious like AIDS. However it is a slow process towards the same end, very often-ending life abruptly. It is part of the evolution and our modern life style that sleep apnea considered to be the sleep disorder of the century has surfaced over the past few years or so and is increasing slowly unnoticed.

General public has awakened to sleep disorders as an entity in the US, Europe, Australia and dissemination of information through electronic media is also creating ripples in developing countries.

This online bulletin is being published to create awareness and awakening of this condition in this part of the country. It will also serve to supplement "Snorezzzz" bulletin released from Amritsar (Punjab).
